Taking Pictures at Liliʻuokalani Park

My sister's friend had taken some pictures of us (my sis, mother and myself) today at Liliʻuokalani Park, located in Hilo Hawaiʻi. The park is named after our last reigning monarch here in the islands, Queen Liliʻuokalani. . .

It was funny because we had gone to Hilo Hattie's
this morning to find some matching outfits, which we never have, and it took a little longer than expected. We might have spent about 1 hour in the store trying on outfits and looking for the best possible piece to wear. After much style clashes and wardrobe adjustments, we finally settled on a green and brown leaf print over a white background. They actually are pretty nice. I'm not one to go shopping to much for new clothes so it was nice to get these outfits for our pictures.

The weather today was ʻōmalumalu (overcast). We had gray skies and some lit up areas where the sun popped out. Our photographer used up about 2 rolls of film (yes they still make those), and I think they are going to turn out pretty nice. Our family hasn't done any kind of family pictures in forever, so it was fun getting out today. Another family had the same idea because they were dressed in matching aloha wear and were taking pictures.

I'll be sure to get up the professional shots once they're ready.
