Aloha kakou apau! Its me Mo’ikeha back here on a slow moving Saturday afternoon and after learning about some interesting things concerning Hawaiians I knew that I needed to bog about it. My last post was kind of boring, but only because I am not the best writer for blogs. That really belongs to Ahonui. I mean if you are expecting to see perfect grammar then you’ve come to the wrong site. I prefer to write as it comes to thought so please don’t comment on that kind of thing. Feel free to comment on the issue or meat of the topic, okay.
So, allow me to get to it. The Akaka Bill is what I would like to talk about. Unlike some of you that may know a lot about it, many of us do not. For me, I am rather busy with the halau or performances/ workshops/ lessons that may be going on with me. Now that the Bill is getting even more exposure, I feel its time for me to take a stand to show what I’ve recently learned and why I am in opposition of the Akaka Bill. I just discovered that the many signatures that Kau Inoa acquired have been given to OHA, (the Office of Hawaiian Affairs) to use as if all of the Hawaiians are in favor of the Akaka Bill. I’m a little perturbed with that. No, not really a little, but a lot. I am not in favor of the Bill, but I did sign the Kau Inoa list to get T shirts for me and my family. There was a table posted outside of Walmart and all the shrits were there piled high on the table. People were scrambling around holding the T-shirts up against themselves and each other and all were excited for signing up because we are Hawaiians and we want everyone to know that. But, what were we signing? I hope it wasn’t for to show support to the Akaka Bill, because if I had known that then I surely wouldn’t have done it. The excitement was too much for me and I thought to myself, ‘I should sign up my ‘ohana and get everyone a shirt!’. I knew that Ahonui would not be happy about it, since for some time she and I have turned down many times a chance for that black shirt because we knew something wasn’t right. Something didn’t make sense about it. Well, today it was this video that I am adding to our site today and I encourage all of you to comment and let me know what ‘cha think. Did OHA disclose our signatures without permission from us? Or am I just being delusional? The video you will see shows a former Kau Inoa recruiter who has made this claim. This is very significant and you can judge for yourself and see if it makes any sense. Here is a site http://stopakakabill.com/Stop_The_Akaka_Bill.html that tells a lot about what the Akaka Bill is and isn’t. You can bet I will be studying this site and some others http://freehawaii.info/ to help me and you to see what my spirit is telling me. Yes, dats right! My intuition has always been fairly accurate and so I’m leaning towards a big ‘No’. And that is that the Akaka Bill is hewa! And what’s this about Alaska’s pipeline connected to Hawaii and the bill? OMGosh, this is just too bizarre. Okay, watch and learn peeps. I do it everyday. Let’s not be afraid. I just want to continue to educate myself and interested readers who want to keep Hawaiians under our own rules and regulations!
This is my new mission. To spread the Spirit of Aloha and the Truth. If there is an un-truth here concerning the Akaka Bill, well then by Ke Akua I will send it out to America and whomever has no idea how Hawaii became a part of the U.S. ..or is Hawaii a FAKE STATE indeed…that will be my next post!…...a hui hou…
OMGoodness...I wondered why I hesitated about joining "Kau Inoa." I've read some on it and what I read led me to believe that being on the list gave me an opportunity to have a say in the state's affairs. But, as I said I was hesitant because it didn't feel right. I couldn't find any factual info on it, so I decided against listing my name anywhere untill I knew what it was all about. Now I know and I'm so glad I didn't sign. Why do your Senators want a bill such as the "Akaka Bill?"
